James F. "Jim" Marshall, Sr.

LISBON - James F. "Jim" Marshall, Sr., 68, of Lisbon, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Health Center following a lengthy illness.

He was born November 2, 1946, in Dayton, OH, the son of the late Robert and Swan (Dunn) Marshall. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death on March 9, 2015, by his son, James F. Marshall, Jr., and his sister, Gay Marshall.

Jim graduated from Cedarville High School in 1964. He served in the United States Navy and was employed for fifteen years in the maintenance department for the Highway Patrol Lisbon Post, before retiring in 2013. Jim was a member of the Church of Christ in Lisbon.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Hensley) Marshall, whom he married June 26, 1970; one daughter: Nikki Smith and her husband, James, of Akron; two brothers: Donald Marshall and Jack Marshall, both of Dayton, OH; and five grandchildren: Nick Marshall, Allison Marshall, Evan Smith, Crosby Smith, and Brandon Russell.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 12, 2015, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Tim Joy, a member of Jim's church, officiating. Tri-State Burial Group will accord full military honors.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
