WELLSVILLE - James Randall O'Neill, 65, of Wellsville, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Sharon Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 12, 1959, in Steubenville, the son of the late James Frederick and Janet (Thrasher) O'Neill. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, Renee O'Neill.

James graduated from Wellsville High School in 1977. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing with his lifelong best friend, James Youngblood. His working years were spent as the general manager for J&B Auto Parts in Florida. His personal theme song was "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden. James liked relaxing in his big comfy chair and watching his favorite shows while doing crossword puzzles. He knew every line to every episode of Seinfeld and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. He was very humorous and silly, especially with his daughter, Jennifer. She was his honeybee. James was fond of college football and the Ohio Buckeyes were his favorite team. His love for the sport was shared with his parents, and his son, Joshua, who was always his favorite football player.

Survivors include his children: Jennifer O'Neill and Joshua O'Neill; and his granddaughter, Baylee O'Neill.

According to James's wishes, no services will be held.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with his arrangements.
