James Anthony Vallera

MARCO ISLAND, FL - James Anthony Vallera, 62, of Marco Island, FL, formerly of Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Naples Community Hospital in Florida.

He was born January 25, 1956, in East Liverpool, the son of Elta Jean (Heiney) Vallera of Wellsville and the late Attilio Francis Vallera.

Jim graduated from Wellsville High School in 1974 and had been employed as a laborer for Summitville Tile (Pekin) before retiring in 2004. He was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville.

In addition to his mother, Jim is survived by his wife, Sondra (Morris) Vallera, of East Liverpool; one daughter, Krista Vallera and her companion, Erik Powell, of Wellsville; and three brothers: Steve Vallera of Wellsville, Jeff Vallera of Marco Island, FL, and David Vallera and his wife, Brandee, of Wellsville. Also surviving is his grandson, Liam Powell, of Wellsville.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at the Wellsville First Christian Church with Pastor Mark Blakeley officiating.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 pm Tuesday at the Wellsville First Christian Church, 831 Main Street in Wellsville.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Jim's arrangements.
