Janelle Williams

SALEM - Janelle Williams, 85, of Salem, formerly of Irondale, died Sunday, August 28, 2016, at the Auburn Skilled Nursing Center in Salem.

She was born June 26, 1931, in Olive Hill, KY, the daughter of the late Morton and Thelma (Brammer) Jackson. Janelle was preceded in death in 1985 by her husband, Thomas Williams, whom she married February 4, 1950. In addition to her parents and husband, Janelle was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Randall "Randy" Williams; one sister: Phyllis Williams; and one brother: Junior Hensley.

Janelle and her husband, Tom, owned and operated William's Tavern in Irondale. She was a member of the Irondale United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter: Sherry Hooper of Sandy Springs, GA; one son: Terry Williams of Duluth, GA; one sister: Erla Newlin of East Liverpool; and one brother: Larry Hensley of Toledo. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Kristi Sanders, Eric Hooper, and Michell Williams; and six great-grandchildren: Violet and Naomi Trybend, Madison and Brayden Hooper, and Catherine and Jason Williams.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 3, 2016, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Crowe of the church officiating.

Burial will follow in Highlandtown Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
