WELLSVILLE - Janet Marie Marple, 63, of Wellsville, died Thursday, December 16, 2010, in the emergency room at East Liverpool City Hospital.

She was born September 27, 1947, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Richie and Frances (Smallwood) Messer.

Janet graduated from Wellsville High School in 1965. She was employed by Joe's Drive Thru where she was a clerk.

Survivors include one son: Brett Geer and his wife Crystal of Wellsville; one brother: Richie Messer and his wife Linda of Dayton, Tennessee; one grandson: Cody Geer of Wellsville; and one sister-in-law: Marcia Messer of Wellsville.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by one brother: Charles Leon Messer.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Wellsville Church of the Nazarene officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
