Janis E. Moxley

WELLSVILLE - Janis E. Moxley, 59, of Wellsville, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

She was born March 22, 1953, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Edda (Layne) Thompson.

Janis graduated from Wellsville High School in 1972. She was employed for thirty years as a crane operator in the melt shop for Allegheny-Ludlum. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness,

Survivors include one daughter: Samantha Moxley of Wellsville; one son: Marcus Moxley of Wellsville; three sisters: Mona Wilson of Wellsville, Kay Wolfe and her husband Milton of Wellsville, and Joan Thompson of Sandusky, OH; six brothers: Frank D. Thompson and his wife Beverly of Wellsville, Michael Thompson and his wife Diane of East Liverpool, William Thompson and his wife Olivia of Painesville, OH, Mickey Thompson of Wellsville, Terry Thompson of Wellsville, David H. "Bug" Thompson and his wife Brenda of Wellsville; one uncle: Chester "Leon" Layne; two granddaughters: Ondreah Moxley and Kira Wolfe, both of Wellsville; two grandsons: Zachary Adams and Marcus Moxley, both of Wellsville; and one great-grandson: Christian Richardson of Wellsville. Also surviving is her niece, Cara Wolfe, whom she raised, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janis was preceded in death by one son: Herman Jeffrey Moxley; and two brothers: Alvan E. "Dopsey" Thompson and John Neal Thompson.
