Jay V. Starkey

WELLSVILLE - Jay V. Starkey, 76, of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015, at The Orchards of East Liverpool.

He was born July 29, 1938, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Leonard and Helen (Maylone) Starkey. Jay was also preceded in death by his daughter: Brenda L. Starkey; two sisters: Loretta David and Delores Lohman; and one brother: Richard Starkey.

Jay was employed in the clay shop for the former Sterling China Company before his retirement.

Survivors include two sisters: Mary Miller of Wellsville and Goldie Jewell of Glenmoor; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, June, 18, 2015, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Wagner of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
