John A. Soldano

WELLSVILLE - John A. Soldano, 67, of Wellsville, died Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Trinity Medical Center West following a lengthy illness.

He was born July 1, 1946, in East Liverpool, the son of the late John J. and Anna (Comparetto) Soldano.

John graduated from Wellsville High School in 1965 and from Youngstown State University. He was previously employed as an art teacher in the Wellsville School District and the Southern Local School District until his retirement in June of 2013. He enjoyed traveling. John was Catholic by faith.

Survivors include one son: Ian Soldano of Naples, FL; three sisters: Cora A. Corak, Teresa Soldano, and Joan Soldano, all of Wellsville; and one granddaughter: Emily Soldano.

John was preceded in death by one brother: Joseph Soldano.

A Catholic Burial Rite will be celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, February 10, 2014, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Haladej of Holy Trinity Parish officiating.

Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00 - 6:00 pm Sunday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
