Joseph A. Soldano, Sr.

WELLSVILLE - Joseph A. Soldano, Sr., 82, of Wellsville, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

He was born February 7, 1931, in Wellsville, the son of the late John Joseph and Anna (Comparetto) Soldano.

Joseph was preceded in death on October 27, 2007, by his wife, Rosaline L. (Daddario) Soldano, whom he married June 29, 1957.

Joseph served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War. He was employed as a roller in the hot mill for Timet in Toronto. Joseph was a life member of the Wellsville SOI 657 and was an avid Notre Dame fan. He was Catholic by faith.

Survivors include two sons: Joseph A. Soldano, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Wellsville, and John M. Soldano and his wife Melany of Calcutta; three sisters: Cora Corak, Theresa Soldano, and Joan Soldano, all of Wellsville; and one brother: John Soldano of Wellsville. Also surviving are two granddaughters: Kristen and Gina Soldano, both of Wellsville, whom he loved and adored with all his heart.

The Catholic Burial Rite will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, May 4, 2013, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Haladej of Holy Trinity Parish officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, May 3, 2013, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
