Joyce Elaine Imburgia

WELLSVILLE - Joyce Elaine Imburgia, 88, of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 1, 1933, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Paul and Ruby (Knepper) Nixon. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heather Russell; two sisters: Ruby Koontz and Bonnie Cassidy; and two brothers: William Nixon and Gary Nixon.

Joyce graduated from Wellsville High School in 1950. She was employed for over thirty years as a treasurer for Perpetual Savings and Loan. Joyce enjoyed crafting and was an expert flower arranger. She was a member of the Heights Church.

Survivors include her husband, Vincent R. Imburgia, whom she married September 19, 1953; two daughters: Patricia Russell and her husband, Dennis, of Wellsville, and Debbie Shilot and her husband, Sam, of Greenville, OH; and two sisters: Janie Whiteman and her husband, Dannie, of Sarasota, FL, and Vickie Johnson of Phoenix, AZ. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Annette Black, Celeste Skidmore, Tricia Russell, and Christina Phillips; and eight great-grandchildren: Jordan Russell, Jaxon Skidmore, Isabella Black, Madex Skidmore, Dominic Black, Rileah Phillips, Bronx Skidmore, and Kase Phillips.

Family and friends may call from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville. Face masks are requested to be worn inside the funeral home.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday at the Heights Church, 528 Grandview Avenue in East Liverpool, with her son-in-law, Pastor Sam Shilot of Triumphant Christian Center in Greenville, OH officiating. Visitation will also be held at the church one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
