Joyce Ann Lynn

WELLSVILLE - Joyce Ann Lynn, 65, of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016, at home following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born August 9, 1950, in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Sophie (Dragisich) Nugent of Wellsville and the late Frank Nugent.

Joyce graduated in 1968 from St. Michael High School in Pittsburgh and also from the Catherine McAuley School of Nursing at Mercy Hospital. Since its opening, Joyce had been employed as a restorative nurse and nurse manager at Calcutta Health Care Center. She retired in 2012. She was past president of the Lady Elks and past grand regent of the Catholic Daughters of America. Joyce was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Lynn, whom she married June 3, 1972; two daughters: Melissa Lynn of Los Angeles, CA and Anne Raphington and her husband, Craig, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and one son: Steven Lynn and his wife, Sarah, of Silver Spring, MD. Also surviving are two granddaughters: Alexandra Lynn and Makenna Raphington; and one grandson: Nicholas Lynn.

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blakeley of Wellsville First Christian Church officiating.

Friends may call from 3:00-6:00 pm Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
