Joyce E. Provenzano

WELLSVILLE – Joyce E. Provenzano, 77, of Wellsville, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018, at Salem West Health Care.

She was born March 22, 1941, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Helen (Sambroak) Fraser. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by two brothers: Larry and James Fraser; and two nieces.

Joyce was a 1960 graduate of Wellsville High School. She was employed for twenty years as a secretary for Vogel Theatres in Wellsville before retiring in 1979. Joyce enjoyed home organizing, antique stores, reading, and animals, especially cats. She was a member of the Wellsville Alumni Association and the Wellsville Historical Society, as well as a member of Wellsville First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Provenzano, whom she married June 5, 1965; one stepdaughter, Rosemary Merriman of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; one stepson, Michael Provenzano, Jr. of Akron, OH; two sisters: Joanne Everett of Salem and Betty Freeland and her husband, John, of Hubbard, OH; five step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Joyce's arrangements.
