Karen Lee Bertschy

EAST LIVERPOOL - Karen Lee Bertschy, 56, of East Liverpool, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Siedman Cancer Center in Cleveland following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born May 31, 1966, in East Liverpool, the daughter of Robert Bertschy of East Liverpool and the late Beryldene (Squires) Bertschy. In addition to her mother, Karen was preceded in death by one sister, Janet Bertschy, one niece, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Karen graduated from Beaver Local High School in 1984. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, and sister.

Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Caldwell of East Liverpool; one son, Deny Caldwell of Cleveland; two sisters: Nila Lawrence of Cleveland and Lisa Carney of Canton; and one brother, John Bertschy of West Point. Also surviving are five grandchildren: John and Parker Caldwell, Cherrysh Joy, and Violette and Loki House; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville, with Pastor Jeff Pelli of the Good Shepherd Methodist Church officiating.

Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
