Kathleen Allmon

WELLSVILLE - Kathleen Allmon, 89, of Wellsville, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

She was born March 1, 1927, in St. Mary's, WV, the daughter of the late Foster D. and Clara (Westbrook) Boley. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death on December 23, 1987, by her husband, Clarence Allmon, and by her daughter, Linda K. Crews. She was also predeceased by two sisters: Ruth Yost and Mary Boley; five brothers: John, Earl, Robert, and Clark Boley, and Cliff Athey; and her beloved pet dog, Holly.

Kathleen graduated from Toronto High School in 1944. She was employed for fifty years as a liner for WC Bunting Company, Acme Pottery, and Pioneer Pottery. She was Nazarene by faith and attended Crossroads Church in Weirton, WV. Kathleen loved to help others, and she was a caregiver to many family members.

Survivors include one son, Randy Allmon and his wife, Diana, of Wellsville; four granddaughters: Tiffany McCauley, Kelly (Brett) Six, Raquel (Jonathan Alex) Spencer Langlinais, and Chelsea Spencer; three grandsons: Donato (Ashley) Allmon, Rodney (Christy Amato) Reed, and Joseph (Melissa) Reed; and seven great-grandchildren: Griffin McCauley, Tori Reed, Riley Reed, Sheridan Reed, Gage Reed, Allison (Jacob) VanKampen, and Brock Reed. Kathleen was affectionately known as Nanny to her grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Christy Gibas of the church officiating.

Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
