Kathleen Ann Pickens, age 59, of Lisbon, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Salem Community Hospital of Salem, OH. Kathleen was born December 29, 1952 in New Kensington, PA.. She is the daughter of the late Virgil L. and the late Effie T. (McCullough) Backus.

She was a 1971 graduate of East Liverpool High School and a Homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters: Melanie Gruden of Broadview Heights, OH., Kara Waldron of Hilliard, OH.; Sister of two brothers: Roger Backus of East Liverpool, OH, Richard Backus of Wellsville, OH; Stepson, Dan Pickens of Abilene, KS.; companion, David Reider of Lisbon, OH.

Predeceased by her Sister, Janet Masters and 3 Brothers: Virgil Backus, Edgar Backus and Ronald Backus.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street, Wellsville, OH with Pastor Dirk Hall officiating. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
