Kenneth O. "Kenny" McAdoo

EAST LIVERPOOL - Kenneth O. "Kenny" McAdoo, 85, of East Liverpool, formerly of Wellsville, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019, at Calcutta Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 21, 1933, in Wellsville, the son of the late Oliver P. and Margaret A. (Klink) McAdoo. In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his son, Kevin McAdoo; three sisters: Doris Langenheim, Maxine Davis, and Eva Kidder; and two brothers: Frederick and William McAdoo.

Kenny graduated from Wellsville High School in 1951 and was an alumni of the Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, VA. He served in the United States Army from 1957-1959, and he was employed for thirty years as a clerk for Conrail before retiring in 1995. He was a lifetime member of the Wellsville Elks Lodge 1040. Kenny was also a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Susan L. (Deyarmon) McAdoo, whom he married June 13, 1959; his son, Kraig McAdoo and his wife, Amy, of Apollo Beach, FL; his daughter-in-law, Karen McAdoo of Toronto; and his sister, LeahRae (James) O'Rourke. Also surviving are four grandsons: Jerid McAdoo, Cristopher McAdoo and his partner, Adam Wright, and Cody (Rachel) McAdoo.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 15, 2019, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Hetzer of the church officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery where the Tri-State Burial Group will accord full military honors.
