Lenora Ruth Giles

WELLSVILLE - Lenora Ruth Giles, 64, of Wellsville, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 15, 1955, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Robert J. and Florence M. (Hoskins) Bentley.

Lenora graduated from Southern Local High School in 1972. After graduation, she enrolled in the nursing programs at Youngstown State University and Kent State University. Lenora was employed for twenty years as a bus driver for Southern Local Schools and served as President of Southern School District Local #287. She then began her second twenty year career as a Field Representative for the Ohio Association of Public School Employees, working out of the Cleveland/Canton field office. She covered the Eastern side of the state representing OAPSE local school districts.

Survivors include her loving husband, Larry Giles, whom she married August 23, 1980; her daughter, Larissa Giles of Wellsville; two sisters: Rita David of East Liverpool and Susan Hilditch and her husband, Jay, of Wellsville; and two brothers: Morgan Bentley of Denver, CO, and John Bentley and his wife, Janna, of East Liverpool. Lenora is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Lee's Chapel AME, 1325 Center Street in Wellsville, with Pastor Eddie Renfroe officiating.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
