Lila Mae Sprouse

HAMMONDSVILLE - Lila Mae Sprouse, 84, of Hammondsville, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family following a short illness.

Born April 26, 1931, in Wellsville, she was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Madge Todd, her brother, Homer "Sonny" Todd, and her grandson, Christopher Sprouse.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Melvin Sprouse; her children: Melvin (Linda) Sprouse of Atlanta, GA, Mark (Valori) Sprouse of Hammondsville, Leslie (Jeff) Waggoner of Hammondsville, and Marsha Sprouse of Canton, OH; her grandchildren: Benjamin (Melissa) Sprouse of Cleveland, Jennifer (Nathan) Shriver of Minerva, OH, Joseph (Hannah) Waggoner of Bethel Park, PA, Jonathan (Whitney) Waggoner of Minerva, OH, April (Jaron) Langberg of Brooklyn, NY, and Eric Sprouse of Hammondsville; and her great-grandchildren: Josiah and Naomi Shriver and Chase and Paige Waggoner. Also surviving are her brothers: Edward (Mary Jane) Todd of Columbiana and Ronald (Karen) Todd of Lambertville, NJ; and her sister-in-law: Mrs. Homer (Mary Kathryn) Todd of East Palestine.

Lila was an active member of the East Liverpool Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for over forty years. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 16516 Annesley Road, East Liverpool, OH 43920 with Mr. Richard Fry officiating.

The family will receive callers prior to the service from 1:00-2:30 pm.

The family wishes to thank the many friends, neighbors, and Hospice of the Valley from Youngstown for their love and concern shown to Lila.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in Lila's name to: East Liverpool Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses or Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44512-2198.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville was entrusted with arrangements.
