Louise Lloyd

WELLSVILLE - Louise Lloyd, 92, of Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Bennington Glenn Nursing Home in Marengo, OH.

She was born February 6, 1923, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Frank L. and Clara (Weldy) Jackson. Louise lost both of her parents at age thirteen and was lovingly raised by the late Charles and Blanche McConnehey.

Louise was preceded in death on September 30, 1992, by her husband, Robert C. Lloyd, whom she married June 1, 1944. She was also preceded in death by her infant son: Richard C. Lloyd; her sisters: Dorothy Arbaugh and Mary Steffen; and her brother: Franklin L. Jackson.

Louise graduated from Wellsville High School in 1941. She had been employed by Bell Telephone and Sterling China Company before opening Louise's Beauty Shop in her home. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one daughter: Peggy Ann Smith of Marengo; and three sons: Robert C. Lloyd and his wife, Inger, of Wellsville, David W. Lloyd and his wife, Toni, of Wellsville, and John F. Lloyd and his wife, Sharon, of Wellsville. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 1, 2015, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Maylone of Wellsville United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 pm Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
