Lucille Foster

CANAL WINCHESTER - Lucille Foster, 92, of Canal Winchester, OH, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016, at her daughter's home.

She was born October 17, 1923, in Pickens County, AL, the daughter of the late Lester and Emma (Miller) Wells. In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death on May 16, 2003, by her husband, Barron Foster, whom she married March 28, 1943, and by ten brothers and sisters.

Lucille was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wellsville where she served on the deaconess board.

Survivors include one son: Edward Foster and his wife, Dorothy, of Winthrop Harbor, IL; one niece whom she raised as a daughter from age two: Marian Carter and her husband, David, of Canal Winchester, OH; one sister: Marie Gaskin of Tuscaloosa, AL; and one brother: Willie B. Wells of VA. Also surviving are four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 18, 2016, at the First Baptist Church, 1401 Center Street in Wellsville, with Pastor Roosevelt Thompson officiating.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
