Lucy Marie Biacco

WELLSVILLE - Lucy Marie Biacco, 87, of Wellsville, died Monday, January 12, 2015, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

She was born September 15, 1927, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (DeFalco) Lombardozzi.

She was preceded in death in 1974 by her husband, Kenneth "Sam" Biacco, Sr. She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Ida Infanti and Angie Daniels; two brothers: John Lombardozzi, Sr. and Carman Lombardozzi; and two granddaughters: Sara Jo and Cara Jo Bucher.

Lucy graduated from Immaculate Conception Catholic School in 1942 and from Wellsville High School in 1946. She was employed for twenty years as a ware dresser for Homer Laughlin China Company before retiring in 1992. Lucy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and was an avid bingo player. She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church as well as Sacred Heart Church.

Survivors include one daughter: Vickie Bucher and her husband, John, of Wellsville: one son: Kenny Biacco, Jr. of Wellsville; one sister: Rose Benedetto of Wellsville; and one brother: Nunzio "Sam" Lombardozzi of Wellsville. Also surviving is one grandson: Bryan Bucher and his fiancée, Michelle Soy, and one great-granddog, Bella; and one granddaughter: Sarah Bucher-Craig and her husband, Steve, as well as three great-grandchildren: Dominic Pugliano, Stephen Craig, and Reecelyn Craig.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, January 16, 2015, at the Sacred Heart Church, 424 4th Street, Chester, WV, with Rev. Eric Antwai as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Wellsville.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
