Marian L. "Missy" Perkins

WELLSVILLE - Marian L. "Missy" Perkins, 80, of Wellsville, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

She was born August 23, 1936, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Thomas Franklin and Margaret (Zearley) Jackson. In addition to her parents, Missy was preceded in death by four sisters: Betty Korbel, Margaret Dodson, Emma Jean Martin, and Phyllis Jackson; and three brothers: Ferry Jackson, Jerry Jackson, and Luther Jackson.

Marian had been employed as a clerk at Superfoods, Masons, Cables Value King, and as a cook for the former Nentwick Convalescent Home and Adkins Nursing Home. Most recently she had been employed as a housekeeper for Roberts Funeral Home. Missy was a member of the Wellsville VFW Post 5647 Auxiliary.

Survivors include her companion of twenty-six years, Thurl "Speed" Wickham; and five sisters: Violet Reardon of East Liverpool, Mary Thomas of Salem, Sally Pinz of Louisville, OH, Cynthia Sue Morris and her husband, Mark, of Guilford Lake, and Rebekah Groves of Nashville, TN. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews including Amanda Green of Hammondsville, Kristopher Monigold, Kelcie Summers, Kaylee Summers, and Nathan Green.

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating.

Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1:00-3:00 and 4:00-6:00 pm Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville.
