WELLSVILLE - Marjorie R. Skeens, 94, of Wellsville, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Calcutta Health Care Center following a brief illness.

She was born October 13, 1930, in Hookstown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Lloyd W. and Anna (Rizor) Steele. In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death in June of 2001 by her husband, William H. Skeens. She was also preceded in death by her son, William Douglas Skeens; brother, Donald R. Steele; and sisters: Evelyn L. Steele, Eleanor June Gillespie, and Mary Jeanette Brown.

Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a true homemaker in every sense of the word. She loved to cook and bake, and you never left her home without something good to eat.

Survivors include three children: Debra Elaine Reed of Wellsville, James David (Sharon) Skeens of Woodsfield, OH, and Jonathan Duane (Jona) Skeens of Wellsville; and one sister-in-law, Millie Steele of Salem. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Carrie (Jacob) Lawton of Columbiana, Elizabeth Jahn of Atlanta, GA, Stacie (DW) Rothenbuhler of Woodsfield, OH, and David Skeens of Columbiana; and six great-grandchildren: Paige and Preston Lawton, W. Jahn, and Kasen, Bristol, and Cash Rothenbuhler. Marjorie was also very close with her many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Marjorie's nephew, Pat Clutter, officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
