Marshall Smallwood, Jr.

WELLSVILLE - Marshall Smallwood, Jr., 90, of Wellsville, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville.

He was born August 25, 1929, in Barbersville, Kentucky, the son of the late Dora (Fields) and Marshall Smallwood, Sr. In addition to his parents, Marshall was preceded in death by five sisters: Nina Barger, Nora Moore, Lois Messer, Frances Messer, and Sydna Watson; and two brothers: Crit Smallwood and Eugene Smallwood.

Marshall was employed for twenty-five years in the local brickyards and for twenty years as a truck driver for Airco Industrial Gases. He was a member of the Word of Life Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia "Pat" (Adams) Smallwood, whom he married June 12, 1986; four daughters: Linda Bowman and her husband, Richard, of Lisbon, Bonnie Orsini and her husband, Ron, of Steubenville, Brenda Collins and her husband, Steve, of Wellsville, and Karen Duffy of Phoenix, AZ; one son, Ron Smallwood and his wife, Debbie, of Calcutta; and one sister, Ruby Milliron of Wellsville. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Marshall's life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020, at 6:00 pm at Elevate Worship Center, 1329 Main Street in Wellsville.
