Mary Helen Hanselman

WELLSVILLE - Mary Helen Hanselman, 86, of Wellsville died suddenly Saturday, November 9, 2013, at home.

She was born March 25, 1927, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Pietro and Olga (Ianucci) Diloreto.

Mary graduated from Wellsville High School in 1946 and worked as a nurse's aid at East Liverpool City Hospital for many years. She also worked as a clerk in many Wellsville convenience stores.

Mary was preceded in death on June 11, 1998, by her husband, John William Hanselman, Sr., whom she married August 14, 1958.

Survivors include one daughter: Debi Brown of Conway, SC; four sons: Robert Burgess and his wife, Vicki, of Wellsville, William "Bill" Burgess of Wellsville, John W. Hanselman, Jr. with whom she resided, and Jeffrey J. Hanselman and his wife, Noreen, of Wellsville; one sister: Marie Harpold of New Cumberland, WV; three grandsons: Bill Burgess and his wife, Dawn, Ryan Burgess and his wife, Courtney, and Jeffrey Hanselman and his fiancée, Brooke; and two granddaughters: Rachele Tatgenhorst and her husband, Chad, and Celeste Hanselman . Also surviving are five great-grandchildren. Her family was first and foremost in her life.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Nellie Booth; and five brothers: Sam, John, Joseph "Tad", Anthony, and Gerald "Honey" Diloreto.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
