Mary Alice Swearingen, age 97, of Yellow Creek Township, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Health Center of Youngstown, OH. Mary was born April 15, 1914 in Yellow Creek Twp., OH. She is the daughter of the late John and the late Verna (Ruhl) Chettle. She married WalterSwearingen on October 27, 1934. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Swearingen on May 5,1986.

She was a Homemaker and member of the Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one daughter: Peggy Ann Kelly of Lisbon, OH and one son: Harry Walter Swearingen of Sun City Center, FL.; Sister of one brother: Clarence "Red" Chettle of Trinity, FL., 5 grandchildren and 2 Great Granddaughters.

Predeceased by 2 sisters, Frances Curry and Dorothy Boyd; and one Brother, John Chettle, Jr.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street, Wellsville, OH with Pastor Derek Marotta officiating. Burial will be in Highlandtown Cemetery, Highlandtown on Monday, February 6.
