Mary Jane Wells

WELLSVILLE - Mary Jane Wells, 71, of Wellsville, formerly of Lisbon, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019, at The Orchards of East Liverpool.

She was born April 21, 1948, in Mingo Junction, the daughter of the late William and Florell (Carpenter) Flesher. In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lee Anna Minster; three grandchildren: Joey, Chance, and Shay Gomola; three sisters: Kay Haught, Donna Kendle, and Nancy Flesher; and three brothers: Bill, Jim, and Clyde "Bud" Flesher.

Mary Jane graduated from Mingo Junction High School in 1966. She loved baking, doing crafts, playing bingo, watching Golden Girls, and eating ice cream. She also enjoyed the time she spent at Senior Links in Glenmoor. Mary Jane was a former member of Destiny House Church.

Survivors include two daughters: Paula Cline and her husband, Dave, with whom she resided, and Penny Gomola and her significant other, Wayne Ellis, of New Cumberland, WV; one sister, Pat Blanchard of Brunswick, OH; one brother, Van Flesher of Mingo Junction; two sisters-in-law: Artie Flesher and Karen Flesher; and two brothers-in-law: Paul Haught and Melvin Kendle. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Kaylyn (Cory) Barnhart, Taylor Cartwright, Eric Hardman, Olivia Cline, Nathan Gomola, Jennifer Cline, and Chris Roe; four great-grandchildren: Tyler Barnhart, Dallas and Branden Adkins, and Cohen Roe; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends that became family at The Orchards of East Liverpool.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, October 4, 2019, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Heather Long, whom Mary Jane knew from Destiny House Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
