Melvyn Thomas Adams, age 70 of Warrenton, VA died on August 22, 2017 at Fauquier Hospital.

He was born on November 15, 1946 in Wellsville, Ohio, son of the late Orval W. and Marjorie L. Adams. He was retired from the United States Army and a member of the American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Orval F. Adams and William E. (BA) Adams; and his sisters: Sherry Rohr and Linda Farnsworth.

He is survived by his spouse, James Payne and a sister Carol A. Miller.

The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 1-4 PM. Additional visitation will be on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street, Wellsville, OH 43968 where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville.
