Michael A. Brandle

TORONTO - Michael A. Brandle, 33, of Toronto, passed away of an apparent heart attack on Thursday, May 21, 2015, while attending sniper training in Monroe County.

He was born December 2, 1981, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Terry (Dudgeon) Grimm, who passed away in 2000, and Burdell Brandle of Toronto.

Mike graduated from Southern Local High School in 2001. He then attended Eastern Gateway Community College where he received his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. He started his career as an officer in Amsterdam, OH, quickly making his way to Chief. Michael then moved on to work as an officer for the Wellsville Police Department, and finally as a Sheriff's Deputy for Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, where he was also a member of the SRT team for the last ten years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police 97 in Wintersville, Ohio Police Benevolent Association, and Jenkins Lodge 471 Free and Accepted Masons.

In addition to his father, Mike is survived by his fiancée: Christine Harvey of Toronto; one sister: Rose Brandle of Defiance, OH; one brother: Dave Brandle and his wife, Tiffany, of Summitville, OH; and three nephews: Jacob, Joshua, and Wyatt, also of Summitville.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the First Presbyterian Church of Toronto, 116 N. 3rd Street, with Pastor Tim Zimmerman of Westley Holiness Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
