Michael Wayne Utt

SALINEVILLE - Michael Wayne Utt, 72, of Salineville, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at Salem Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born July 15, 1950, in Liverpool, West Virginia, the son of the late Lee Adair and Betty J. (Danser) Utt. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death on October 8, 2010, by his wife, Marsha (Slusher) Utt, whom he married July 14, 1971. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Darrel Utt.

Michael graduated from Stanton Local High School in 1968. He was employed as a crane operator for Wellsville Terminals before his retirement in 2012. Michael enjoyed the outdoors and spent a lot of his time hunting and fishing. He looked forward to his weekly card games of Euchre and Rummy with family. Above all else, Michael enjoyed the time he spent with his grandkids and his beloved dog, Duncan.

Survivors include his daughter, Marci Utt of Salineville; his son, Michael (Julie) Utt of Highlandtown; and his sisters: Joyce Harris of Panama City, FL, Barbara (Cline) Bennett of Jacksonville, FL, and Donna (Bill) Rudder of East Liverpool. Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren: Brett (Courtney) Royer, Dylan Royer, Grant Utt, Chase Utt, and Lindsay (Travis) MacLean. Michael will be sadly missed by Duncan, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.

A private family service will be held. Interment will follow at Highlandtown Cemetery.
