Nicholas A. Lioi, Jr.

EAST LIVERPOOL - Nicholas A. Lioi, Jr., 62, of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Saturday, December 24, 2016, at home of an apparent heart attack.

He was born October 13, 1954, in East Liverpool, the son of JoAnn (Watson) Smith of Lisbon and the late Nicholas A. Lioi, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rocco Lioi, and his step-father, Carl Smith.

Nick graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1974. He was employed for twenty-five years as a delivery man for LaBelle News in Steubenville. He also owned and operated Lioi's Tae Kwan Do. He was a member of the Wellsville Sons of Italy Lodge 657 and was Catholic by faith.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Linda (Hopson) Lioi, whom he married April 8, 1975; one son: James Lioi of Bozeman, MT; two sisters: Kim Lioi and her companion, Rick Tomaine, of East Liverpool, and Mindy Stacey and her husband, Bruce, of Lisbon; one sister-in-law: Sherry Wolfe and her husband, Robert, of East Liverpool; and one brother-in-law: Wayne Riggle and his wife, Erica, of East Liverpool. Also surviving are nine nieces and nephews: Stephanie Lioi, Bruce Stacey II, Jason Wolfe, Melissa Gass, Kevin Riggle, Allison Sanchez, Kaleb Riggle, Delaney Riggle, and Danni Riggle.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 29, 2016, at the Roberts Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
