Noah David Long

WELLSVILLE - Noah David Long, age 8, of Wellsville, earned his angel wings on Monday, July 28, 2014, after a very strong and heroic battle with leukemia. He was surrounded by his loving family at home.

His courageous smile throughout his journey has left a lasting legacy on family and friends, old and new alike.

Noah was born on July 26, 2006. He will forever be loved by his parents, David and Katie (Plunkett) Long and his brave little sister, Maggie. Survivors also include his maternal grandparents: Chuck & Christine Plunkett of Wellsville; paternal grandparents: David & Sandy Long of Wellsville; and his uncles: Andy (Monica) Plunkett of Wellsville, and Jeff Plunkett of Wellsville. He leaves behind a large family that will forever remember his strength and bravery, as well as hundreds of friends and his amazing school family at Karaffa Elementary School in Toronto.

A private celebration of Noah's life was held at the family's church, Wellsville First Christian Church on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, with Pastor Mark Blakeley officiating.

Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville was entrusted with arrangements.
