Norma L. Heldman

WELLSVILLE – Norma Lou Heldman, 85, of Wellsville, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born October 16, 1931, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Robert and Lona (Ingram) Heckathorn. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Heckathorn.

Norma graduated from Wellsville High School in 1949. She had been employed for over twenty years as a piece worker for the former Sterling China Company and had also worked at the Wellsville Carnegie Public Library. She was a member of the Wellsville Alumni Activities Committee and had volunteered as a Cub Scout leader and for Meals on Wheels. Above all else, Norma was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.

Survivors include two sons: Frederick William "Bill" Heldman of Wellsville, and Chris Heldman and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Columbus. Also surviving are two granddaughters: Caitlin and Erin Heldman, both of Columbus.

The funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating.

Friends may call from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm Saturday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.

In lieu of the flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Norma's name to: Wellsville Carnegie Public Library, 115 9th Street, Wellsville, OH 43968.
