Orpha B. Skinner

WELLSVILLE - Orpha B. Skinner, 87, of Wellsville, died Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 9, 1927, in Irondale, the daughter of the late Lewis and Blanche (Glenn) Crawford.

She was preceded in death on August 19, 2002, by her husband, Robert Skinner, whom she married October 23, 1948. She was also preceded in death by her stillborn daughter and her brother, Luke Crawford.

Orpha graduated from Irondale High School. She was employed as a decorator for the former Sterling China Company before retiring in 1989. She was a member of Salineville Assembly of God Church and attended Wellsville Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter: Kathy Kesler and her husband, Don, of Coconut Grove, FL; two sons: David Lee Skinner and his wife, Michele, of Wellsville, and Robert Allen Skinner of Gainsville, FL; three sisters: Nellie (Charles) Allison, Norma Ross, and Joan (Kenny) Russell; and one brother: James (Bernice) Crawford. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Dixie Lynn, Robert Neil, Katie Lynn, Sarah Elizabeth, and Emily Diane; and one great-grandchild: Hunter David.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 12, 2015, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Maylone officiating.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Salineville.
