PARKERSBURG, WV - Randy Lee Hughes, 62, of Parkersburg, WV, formerly of Wellsville, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024, at his home of an apparent heart attack.

He was born July 28, 1961, in East Liverpool, the son of the late William and Betty (Fishback) Hughes. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Beth Hughes and Jennifer Bailey; and one brother, William O. Hughes.

Randy graduated from Wellsville High School in 1979. He was most recently employed as a tax deputy for Wood County Sheriff's Tax Office. Randy was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and liked trying his luck with scratch-off lottery tickets.

Survivors include one sister, Helen Hughes, of Wellsville; and two brothers: Robert (Sheila) Hughes of Fort Worth, TX and Richard (Mary) Hughes of Keller, TX.

The funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville, with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating. Family and friends may call from 4:00-8:00 pm on Saturday.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
