Rebecca Lynn Roberto

LISBON - Rebecca Lynn Roberto, 68, of Lisbon, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 20, 1950, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Smith) McPherson.

Rebecca graduated from Southern Local High School in 1968 and Kent State University in 1972, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. Rebecca obtained her Master of Education degree from the University of Dayton. She was employed for thirty-five years as a teacher for the Southern Local School District before retiring in 2007.

Survivors include her husband, James Roberto, whom she married on January 22, 1972; her daughter, Katherine Forbes and her husband, Robert, of Salineville; two sons: James Roberto and his wife, Holly, of Lebanon, OH, and Michael Roberto of Sebring, OH; and five brothers: Robert "Bill" McPherson and his wife, Eileen, of Highlandtown, Brad McPherson and his wife, Risa, of Columbus, OH, Brent McPherson and his wife, Kim, of East Liverpool, Bruce McPherson and his wife, Anne, of Columbus, OH, and Bart McPherson and his wife, Kris, of South Euclid, OH. Also surviving are six grandchildren.

According to Rebecca's wishes, no services will be held.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Rebecca's arrangements.
