Richard A. "Dick" Bayer

EAST LIVERPOOL - Richard A. "Dick" Bayer, 80, of East Liverpool, beloved husband, father, and uncle, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

He was born March 30, 1935, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Arnold and Dora (Talbott) Bayer.

Dick had been employed as a pan man at the New Cumberland Crescent Brick Yard.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Linda L. (Geer) Bayer, whom he married March 14, 1958; one daughter and son-in-law: Lyn and Jim Prodonovich of Glenmoor; one sister: Delores "Dee" Williams of Wellsville; one brother: David Bayer of Wellsville; and brothers-in-law: Donald and Rhonda Geer of Ashland, OH, and George and Susan Mackall of Wellsville. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Chrislip and Phyllis Gouldsberry; and three brothers: Jim, Chuck, and Phillip Bayer.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at the Wellsville Alumni Center, 201 Third Street, Wellsville, OH 43968. Friends and family may call one half hour prior to the service.
