Richard L. "Dick" Miller

WELLSVILLE - Richard L. "Dick" Miller, 78, of Wellsville, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

He was born October 14, 1939, in Wellsville, the son of the late Ralph and Margaret E. (Campbell) Miller.

Dick served in the United States Army from 1957-1964. He was employed for twenty-three years as a millwright for the former Crucible Steel Mill before retiring in 1982. Dick was always involved in various youth sports including volunteering as a baseball coach and serving as the former equipment manager for Wellsville Little League. He also enjoyed his senior bowling and golfing leagues. Dick was a member and past elder of Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine "Gerry" (Culp) Miller, whom he married July 6, 1960; one daughter, Debbie Haddox and her husband, Butch, of Glenmoor; two sons: Rick Miller and his wife, Lisa, of Wellsville, and Scott Miller and his wife, Angela, of East Liverpool; and two sisters: Myrna Mercer of Arizona and Rebecca Miller of Wellsville. Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Tarra, Joshua, Tyler, Levi, Richelle (Nate), Nickole (Charlie), Corey, Ricky, Cody, and Chelsea; and ten great-grandchildren: Ashlyn, Bayley, Tyler Ryan, Tatum, Maddox, Kyler, Carter, Marissa, Isaiah, and Nicholas.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church, 17365 State Route 45, Wellsville, OH with Pastor Jon Campbell and Pastor Bob Offerdahl officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Yellow Creek Presbyterian Cemetery.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Dick's arrangements.
