Robert J. "Jack" Beech

SALINEVILLE - Robert J. "Jack" Beech, 87, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2020. He was born February 26, 1933, in Wellsville, a son of the late Albert and Estella (Wheatley) Beech.

Jack was a 1953 graduate of Wellsville High School. He was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jack retired in 1999, after being employed as a deputy auditor of Columbiana County. He was a member of the Wellsville Lodge of Free Masons, Wellsville Elks Lodge 1040, American Legion Post 70, and VFW Post 5647. He served many years as a member of the VFW Memorial Council and attended Riverside U.P. Church.

Survivors include his two daughters: Elaine DeSellem and her husband, James, of Salineville, and Jill Stanley and her husband, Todd, of Madison, OH; his two sons: Andrew Beech and his wife, Lynne, of Columbiana, and Douglas Beech and his wife, Chris, of Worthington, OH. Also surviving are his eight grandchildren: Benjamin (Elise) Stanley of Chicago, IL, Grant Hayes of Waukesha, WI, Alec (Carlie) Beech of Columbiana, Jacob Beech of Los Gatos, CA, Michelle (Scott) Burmeister of Columbus, OH, Natalie (Alex) Caruso of Reminderville, OH, Samuel Beech of Redwood City, CA, and Madison Beech of Columbus, OH.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Shoub Beech, whom he married July 24, 1955; his two brothers: Chuck and Skip Beech; his four sisters: Evelyn Calhoun, Elsie Blakemore, Phyllis Baker, and Jean Flasco; and his granddaughter, Colleen Elaine Hayes.

There will be no calling hours. The family requests no gifts, food, or flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in Jack's honor to a charity of your choice.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Jack's arrangements.
