Robert Lee Reed

WELLSVILLE - Robert Lee Reed, 68, of Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at his home following a lengthy illness.

He was born July 17, 1950, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Earl W. and Audrey (Kerrison) Reed.

Robert served in the United States Navy from 1968-1970. He had been employed for thirty-one years as a maintenance technician for J & L Steel before retiring in 2004. He was a member of the East Liverpool Moose Lodge 122, Wellsville American Legion Post 70, Wellsville Eagles Aerie 772, and Wellsville VFW Post 5647.

Survivors include his wife, Randy (Young) Reed, whom he married June 18, 1970; three daughters: Michelle Durbin and her husband, Kenny, of Wellsville, Kristie Reed and her fiance, David Jackson, of Wellsville, and Kerri Fowler and her husband, Charles, of Chippewa, PA; and five brothers: David Reed and his wife, Patty, of Glenmoor, Gerald Reed and his wife, Irene, of Wellsville, Donald Reed of Wellsville, Bill Reed and his wife, Laura, of St. Petersburg, FL, and Rich Reed and his wife, Rhonda, of Lisbon. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Ondreah Moxley and Marcus Moxley, Jr. and his fiancee, Alyssa Gomez, Kenny and Ashley Durbin, and Noah Zahora; one great-grandchild, Khylo; and his friend, Bill "Snuffy" Davidson. Also left behind are Robert's beloved dogs, Bella and Bailey.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 16, 2018, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating. The Tri-State Burial Group will accord full military honors.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
