Robert D. Shirey, Sr.

EAST LIVERPOOL - Robert D. Shirey, Sr., 74, of East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

He was born August 27, 1942, in Butler, PA, the son of the late Theodore R. and Hazel Shirey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on May 10, 2016, by his wife, Rosalie E. (Huyghe) Shirey, whom he married May 24, 1991. He was also predeceased by his two brothers: Theodore R. Shirey, Jr. and Ronald Shirey.

Bob had been employed as a car salesman. He was protestant by faith.

Survivors include two sons: Robert D. Shirey, Jr. and his wife, Elsa, of North Ridgeville, OH, and William J. Shirey of Elkton, OH; one step-daughter: Tonya Baumgarner and her husband, James, of East Liverpool; and one step-son: David Hackney and his wife, Jessica, of East Liverpool. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.

Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with arrangements.
