WELLSVILLE - Robert Joseph "Bobby" Swogger, 60, of Wellsville, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025, at Valley Hospice at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville following a brief illness.

He was born January 18, 1965, in East Liverpool, the son of Robert Swogger of Wellsville and Donna (Springer) Swogger of Wellsville.

Bobby graduated from Wellsville High School in 1983, and he was currently employed as an operator for Arcwood (formerly WTI). Bobby was a member of the Wellsville Elks Lodge 1040, Sons of Italy Lodge 657, and Wellsville Sons of the American Legion Post 70. He dedicated much of his life to serving the community as a volunteer firefighter for the Wellsville Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years. Bobby enjoyed boating, spending his days on the Ohio River, and having a cold Rolling Rock. Above all else, Bobby enjoyed every minute he got to spend with his grandkids.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Dawn "Tope" (Medley) Swogger, whom he married September 6, 1986; his children: Justin (Ashley Ciccone) Swogger of Beaver, PA and Kayla (Robbie Long) Swogger of Wellsville; and his siblings: Ed (Sharri) Swogger of Wellsville, Susan Bauer of Wellsville, and Chris Cook of Wellsville. Also surviving are his six grandchildren: Caleb, Lucas, Sophia, Harper, Gracelynn, and Nolin; as well as his father-in-law, Barry Podwel of Wellsville. Bobby also leaves behind his faithful canine companion, Romeo.

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating.
