COLUMBIANA - Ronald Carl "Ron" Tuttle, 81, of Columbiana, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024, at his home.

He was born June 27, 1942, in Steubenville, the son of the late Carl and Mabel Tuttle. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark.

Ron graduated from Wintersville High School in 1960. He was previously employed in the maintenance department for the former Crucible Steel Mill and New Jersey Steel. Ron volunteered much of his time to the little league baseball teams in Wellsville where he served as commissioner of the league and could regularly be seen coaching the kids and serving as an umpire for games. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Ron was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana.

Survivors include his wife, Frances (Roberts) Tuttle, whom he married July 14, 1962; and three children: Michelle (Dave) Smith of Wellsville, Rhonda (John) Stoakes of Wellsville, and Craig (Barbara) Tuttle of Prospect, PA. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Jennifer Traina, Emma Smith, Jordan and Jansen Stoakes, Kayla Mitchell, and Alexis Tuttle; and eight great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Vayda, Arianna, Gabby, Eli, Jordan, Ava, and Brielle.

The funeral service will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Stanley of Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 12:30 - 2:30 pm and 4:30 - 6:30 pm on Thursday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
