Roselyn Joyce Board

IRONDALE - Roselyn Joyce Board, 94, of Irondale, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022, at The Laurels of Steubenville following a brief illness.

She was born March 13, 1928, in Lisbon, the daughter of the late Wilbur Paul and Peggy (Providence) Abrams. In addition to her parents, Roselyn was preceded in death on September 15, 2018, by her husband, Lewis R. "Dick" Board, whom she married May 21, 1949. She was also preceded in death by two sons: Richard Grant and Gregory Allen Board; two sisters: Margaret Jones and Patsy Rangel; two brothers: Grant and Joe Abrams; and one daughter-in-law, Mary Beth.

Roselyn was a 1947 graduate of Lisbon High School. She had worked for Hills Department Store and Morgan's Drug Store in Lisbon before becoming a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, and nan who enjoyed spending time with her family and painting beautiful pictures as often as she could. Roselyn will be deeply missed by her loved ones. She was Christian by faith and attended the Nazarene Church in Irondale.

Survivors include one son, Joe (Melissa) Board of Toronto; one daughter-in-law, Glenda Board of Irondale; nine grandchildren: Grant, Amy, Glenn, Kari, Justin, Rachel, Luke, Wesley, and Dusty; twenty two great grandchildren: Shane, Mary Beth, Jamie, Karissa, Bryson, Jace, Autumn, Landon, Maddie, Spencer, Olivia, Jaden, Mila, Kloe, Jonah, Garrett, Nick, Bryer, Grady, Annie, Logan, and Cheyann; and four great-great-grandchildren: Gracie Jo, Violet, Aviana, and Miles.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Crowe of the Hammondsville United Methodist Church officiating.

Family and friends may call three hours prior to the service Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.

Burial will be in Hammondsville Cemetery.
