Roxann E. "Stormy" Rivelle

WELLSVILLE - Roxann E. "Stormy" Rivelle, 76, of Wellsville, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016, at Acuity Specialty Hospital of Ohio at Trinity Medical Center East in Steubenville.

She was born January 30, 1939, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of the late William P. and Ada (Sorenson) Erlitz. In addition to her parents, Stormy was also preceded in death by her brother, William Erlitz.

Stormy graduated from Chester High School in 1956. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was always taking care of others and was known for the greeting cards she sent to everyone who was under the weather. Stormy was a member of the Wellsville Sons of Italy Lodge 657. She was also a member of Holy Trinity Parish and the former Immaculate Conception Church.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Frank Rivelle, whom she married August 30, 1958; one daughter: Anne Cartwright and her husband, Jerry, of Wellsville; one son: Frank Rivelle and his wife, Renee, of Columbus; and one sister: Elizabeth Pugh of Chester. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Domenica, Jace, Braden, and Greta Cartwright, and Frankie, Isabella, and Olivia Rivelle; and one step-grandson: Luke Cartwright. Stormy had a large and loving extended family including many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 am Monday, January 11, 2016, at St. Aloysius at Holy Trinity Parish with Rev. James Cavanaugh and Rev. John Mulqueen presiding.

Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Friends may call from 12:00-2:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
