Sondra Lou "Sonnie" Miller, 83, of Wellsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16,

2025, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 8, 1942, in Carrollton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leonard and Verla

(Goddard) Culp. In addition to her parents, Sonnie was preceded in death on December 29,

2002, by her husband, John D. Miller, whom she married August 5, 1963. She was also

preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Abbigail White.

With heavy hearts and immeasurable love, we celebrate the life of a remarkable woman -

beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sister, and friend- whose kindness,

strength, and devotion touched everyone blessed to know her.

Born a twin, she carried a special bond from the very beginning, one that helped shape a gentle

spirit and joyful outlook on life. Sonnie graduated from Wellsville High School in 1960. For more than 30 years, she served as a dedicated secretary at McDonald Elementary School in Wellsville, Ohio. After her retirement, Sonnie worked for several years in the snack bar at East

Liverpool City Hospital, a place where she joyfully shared her gentle heart and kindness with

others. Her warmth, patience, and steady presence made her a beloved figure to students, staff,

and families alike.

She was a devoted wife to John D. Miller for 39 wonderful years - a partnership built on love,

laughter, and steadfast support. Together, they created a home where family came first and

where love flowed freely.

Community meant everything to her. She proudly served with the Irondale Volunteer Fire

Department Ladies Auxiliary and was a faithful member of the Irondale United Methodist

Church. Her generosity, service, and compassion were woven deeply into the fabric of the town

she cherished.

Outside of her commitments, she found great joy in the simple and beautiful moments in life -

gathering with her cherished card club friends, exploring new places through travel, and

cheering passionately as an avid Cleveland sports fan. Cleveland Indians baseball, especially,

held a special place in her heart.

But above all, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. They were what made her world go round'. Her love for them was boundless and unwavering, a gift that will continue to shape their lives forever. Though our hearts ache in her absences, we

remain profoundly grateful for the love she leaves behind - love that will keep her close, always.

May her memory be a blessing, and may her beautiful spirit continue to light our way.

Survivors include her daughters: Lisa (George) McCoy of Wellsville and Susan Miller-Linstrom

of Chicago, IL ; twin sister, Vonda Hazelett of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and her nephew and niece,

Rodney (Robin) Hazelett and Tonya Lynn Hazelett, as well as several other beloved nieces and

nephews.. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Stephanie (Benjamin) White, Brittany (Nicholas) Johnson, and James John Linstrom; as well as three great-grandchildren: Kyia (Jaxon Brewer) White, Lillian White, and Wrenynn Johnson.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Roberts

Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Crowe officiating.

Burial will follow in Highlandtown Cemetery, with a luncheon held directly after at the Highlandtown Inverness Hall.

Family and friends may visit from 12:00-4:00 pm on Sunday and one hour prior to the service

on Monday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.

In lieu of flowers, please consider bringing a toy to contribute to the annual holiday toy drive that

Sonnie's great-granddaughter, Lillian, has orchestrated for the past five years.
