Stella Louise Shannon

WELLSVILLE - Stella Louise Shannon, 64, of Wellsville, died peacefully at home Sunday, April 21, 2013, with her family by her side.

She was born August 3, 1948, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late William Kenneth and Anna (Houschar) Wright.

Stella attended the Clark, Gilbert, and Silverthorn Cosmetology School, where she received her certification as a managing cosmetologist. She was employed as a baker at Walmart. She attended Savior's Promise Church.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Shannon, whom she married December 16, 1963; two daughters: Malissia Shannon of Wellsville and Stella Willis of Columbiana; two sons: Thomas Shannon of Wellsville and Brian Shannon of Columbus; and three sisters: Emmoretta Baker of Lisbon, Nancy Groff of Lisbon, and Pat Jarvis of Wellsville. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Stella was proceeded in death in 2008 by her daughter: Tammy Hayes; and her two brothers: William Edgar Wright and Kenneth "Junior" Wright.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Scott Deitch of the church officiating.

Burial will be in Hammondsville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 12:00 – 2:00 pm on Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
