WELLSVILLE - Sue M. Shingleton, 78, of Wellsville, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at her home.

She was born October 7, 1947, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Ralph Buren and Atha (Collins) Wilfing. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death on February 28, 2009, by her husband, Leroy Shingleton, whom she married November 21, 1965. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Potts, and her brother, Michael Buren.

Sue attended Wellsville High School. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother to her "granddogs". She enjoyed being outside tending to her garden and flowers. She had attended Campground Community Church and Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her children: Debbie (Michelle) Pierce of Lisbon, Doug (Timathene) Shingleton of Temple, TX, and Dave Shingleton of Columbiana; one sister, Joan Brock of Kentucky; and one brother, James Buren of East Liverpool.

In accordance with Sue's wishes, no services will be held.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Sue's arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sue's name to the TEAR Fund at the Tony Teramana Cancer Center, 3204 Johnson Road, Steubenville, OH 43952. The center became part of Sue's family during her courageous battle and victory over cancer.
