Theresa Helen Leone

KENT - Theresa Helen Leone, 104, of Kent, OH, formerly of Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Heritage of Hudson Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.

She was born June 15, 1913, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Joseph and Talia (Sarafina) Surace. In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death on October 9, 1973, by her husband, Hugo J. Leone, whom she married June 29, 1939. She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Laura Fontana, Mary Mascaro, and Margaret Gualtier; and two brothers: Frank Bonadio and Pete Surace.

Theresa attended Wellsville High School and had been employed for twenty years in the bakery at the former I.G.A. in Wellsville before retiring in 1982. She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors include one daughter, Virginia "Ginny" Harris and her husband, Larry, of Kent, OH; and one grandson, Eric Harris and his wife, Sybil, of Newark, OH. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and many special friends.

A catholic funeral liturgy will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Roberts Funeral Home with Reverend Bernard Gaeta presiding.

Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
