Theresa M. Soldano

WELLSVILLE – Theresa M. Soldano, 88, of Wellsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born December 1, 1928, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late John J. and Anna (Comparetto) Soldano. In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by one sister, Cora Corak, and two brothers: Joseph Soldano and John A. Soldano.

Theresa graduated from Wellsville High School in 1947 and from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She was an active member of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville and was a teacher as the school until it closed. She then taught and retired from St. Aloysius School in East Liverpool. She was an inspiration to many children and truly loved "her kids".

Theresa was a member of the Wellsville SOI club, the Catholic Daughters, and the Triple Nine Card Club. She had a love of traveling and reading, but mostly loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by one sister, Joan Soldano of Wellsville, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Catholic Funeral Rites will be held at 11:00 am Monday, January 30, 2017, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Rev. Bernard Gaeta officiating.

Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
